As a Twitterer from way back in the day (offline translation: 6 weeks ago), it's been fascinating to watch this service ebb and flow. Or, at least, ebb and flow with the people who I'm friends with on the service.
I don't know all that many people to be truthful, so maybe some of you have had a different experience, but it seemed for a while that Twitter might plateau and die. But increasingly I see that this service as a kind of fascinating sociological study.
Anyway, if you're hedging on joining Twitter, here are a couple of reasons to join up and see if it sticks for you:
- Borat Sagdiyev's Twitter log
- Bill Clinton's Twitter log
- Darth Vader's Twitter log
- Condoleeza Rice's Twitter log
- Dwight Schrute's Twitter log
- Steve Wozniak's Twitter log (this one's actually him, btw)

I fraking love Twitter. I only wish I had found it sooner. I think it was Chris Brogan's blog where I first saw twitter. Been twittering ever since. And your right Steve, it's great to see how everyone uses it differently.

Everyone enlightened me just last night about Twitter. I can't believe I'd been missing out for 6+ weeks. It's okay, I'm all settled into my account; now I can inundate all of you with even more menial details of my life. muahaha...

Twitter is really cool, it is kind of voyeur (istic?) though. Kind of cool and taboo feeling, yet it is just what others want to tell you.
I think it is like the "where you at?" that everyone always asks at the start of a cell phone conversation. Maybe that was their idea, to solve that question.

I resisted Twitter for a while.
I knew Chris Brogan was on it so one day I sent him an SMS telling him I was at the train station.
I didn't get it.
Then I joined.
Added friends, yet again, on yet another social network.
But this time it was different.
Although I had thought that it would be silly to post about what I was doing every minute of the day, I found that I could send out a question to my friends and get a quick answer.
There is a living and breathing community here. It's not static. It's alive!
I asked Casey to join. She hasn't yet.
I told her, "Resistance is futile."
I thought that was funny.
I hope she joins soon.
