Johan Barrios was born in Barranquilla, Colombia in 1982, and is a visual artist currently living and working in Houston, Texas. His work is primarily done in the form of oil painting and drawing and has been shown in numerous national and international exhibitions.

Born and raised in Baton Rouge, Andrea received formal art training at LSU, Kansas City Art Institute, the University of Texas at Austin and the SACI program in Florence, Italy. Today, a 2nd career in artist materials fuels her experimental and abstract work in mixed media. Home is in Austin, Texas, the one place that nurtures her holistic and universal approach to making art.
Painting feels as natural to me as breathing. By allowing the light to determine the composition, the sense of space can be ethereal, airy, and soft. Even though I use a simplistic subject matter and color palette, the ideas and spaces are complex and deep.”

Greatness is a code-based generative lyrics video I directed and programmed for the track Greatness by Karma Fields featuring Talib Kweli. The entire lyrics video consists of multiple variations of a customized generative system programmed using Processing.
The system is developed from the one earlier used to produce visuals for Skyline, still retaining Voronoi tessellation as its core element. Ricard Marxer Piñón‘s Geomerative lib is also used for getting vertices data of the typeface.
